Reporting Problems

If you experience anything resembling a technical difficulty (you can't login, you get an error message, etc.), you can either email us or post it in the Forum Help forum. Either way, please describe the problem as clearly and precisely as you can. No detail is too small to be worth mentioning. Examples of necessary information:

• Your username
• Your operating system (such as Windows 98, Windows 95, Macintosh)
• What browser / version you're using (for example, Netscape 4.7, Internet Explorer 5.0, etc.). If you're not sure, click on 'Help' from the top menu of your browser - you should see an 'About' option - click it.
• What exactly you're trying to do
• What exactly happens when you try it
• If you get an error message, tell us the exact error - please copy and paste it into your email or message
• The URL of the page you're on when you attempt to do the problematic thing (the URL can be seen in the Location / Address bar of your browser)
• The URL of the page that the error appears on (if applicable)
• If what you're trying to do has ever worked for you before
• If so, any changes you may have made (to your computer, your password, etc.) since it last worked
• At what time the problem occurred
• If you tried more than once / how many times you had the problem
• Anything else you can think of

Giving us all this info may take you an extra minute, but it will lead to less back-and-forth messages between us and allow us to help you faster, which is a good thing for both of us. Besides, if we can't solve it ourselves, we report it to the program developer, and the first thing he'll do is ask for all that info. In that case, too, it will be quicker if we already have it.

If you have a problem with another user, or you feel that their behavior, posts, etc. are somehow inappropriate or in violation of the rules, please report it via PM to Jamie Marie or a moderator, or send an email to Jamie Marie at . Be sure to let us know the user's name and a description of the problem. If the problem is with a post, please give us the URL or the exact subject.

Any other problems can be reported in the Help forum, or by private message to Jamie Marie or a moderator, or by email to Jamie Marie at .

If you have a problem with another user or some other problem, do not attempt to threaten or blackmail any member of the administration in any way. This will not be tolerated, and will not achieve the results you desire.
