Navigation

There are three basic tools to help you navigate the forums. They are outlined below.

The Forum Menu
The Margin "Forum Links" Dropdown
The Bottom "Jump To" Dropdown

The "forum menu" is the row of links, in a gray box, near the top of every forum page. These links allow you to navigate the primary areas of the forum.

If you are an unregistered user or you have not yet logged in, the menu will look like this:

• Main Index - Displays the Main Index screen.
• User List - Displays the list of members.
• Who's Online - Allows you to see who is logged in to the forum.
• Search - Allows you to search the forums and user profiles.
• Help - Displays this User Manual.
• Login - Allows existing members to log in.
• New User - Allows you to register as a new user.

If you have already logged in, the menu will look like this:

• Main Index - Displays the Main Index screen.
• Control Panel - Your "home base," where you get to your private messages and much more.
• User List - Displays the list of members.
• Who's Online - Allows you to see who is logged in to the forum.
• Search - Allows you to search the forums and user profiles.
• Help - Displays this User Manual.
• Logout - Allows you to log out of the forum.

On every forum page, in the margin on the left, there's a box labeled "Forum Links." (The margin contains, starting at the top: BG logo, Site Navigation, Forum Links, advertisement.) It looks like this:

This box contains a dropdown menu - click the little arrow on the right, which will reveal a list of forums and other useful links. Move your mouse down and click on the forum or link you want to go to. If you have Javascript enabled, it will go automatically; if not, you'll have to click the little red "Go" button.

When you are viewing a forum post list or a forum post/thread, there will be another dropdown on the bottom right of the page. It looks like this:

This dropdown contains links to the other forums. Click the little arrow on the right, which will reveal a list of forums and category names. Move your mouse down and click on the forum you want to go to, and then click the "Jump" button. Tip: Click on a category name ("Community" or "Help and Info") to go to the Main Index.
